I am enjoying your Anne of Green Gables podcast. Even though I am a 50+ year old man, I've long wondered about the story. I listen to the chapters you read each day during my morning commute. You do a nice job. Keep up the good work!

My daughter has been diagnosed with Meniere's disease. She is 46. She has struggled with this since she was a child. We live in a small town and doctor's here are not familiar with the disease. How do you locate a specialist in this field who takes you seriously? She was diagnosed at Nashville, TN about 120 miles from here. She is now experiencing what she describes as " electrical shocks or jolts through her body" and is totally incapacitated from this. Do you have info?

Hi Annie, I'm halfway through Pride and Prejudice and just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying your reading of it. I do a lot of driving for my work and so listen to a lot of audio books to get me through the traffic! I live quite close to Derbyshire myself and I can just imagine the characters and houses in the book as I'm driving through the countryside in the North of England. Your work definitely brightens up my journeys - thank you! I'm sorry to hear you've been unwell lately, I do hope you feel better soon. Perhaps now you're settled in your new home things will calm themselves down a bit. Thanks for the good work! Eloise ps. Have you read Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier? It's really good :)

Hi, Annie! I'm listening to
Hi, Annie! I'm listening to Anne of Green Gables right now. I've loved this story ever since I was a little girl! I listen to it on runs, and it makes several miles go by in no time at all! Thanks so much for the time you've spent on this podcast, and I hope you'll be able to do more soon. Be well, Jo-Beth

Hi Annie! My sister in law
Hi Annie! My sister in law just sent me your web site info. & I loved your photos of your garden & your dog. They were inspiring & I sent them onward to good friends who love gardening. I am in the beginning of a journey--my E.N.T. Dr. thinks I may have Meniere's but from all he has said & all I have read on line, there doesn't seem to be much hope or info. re: how to diagnose it even. Never mind WHY I have it, HOW I got it, & what to do about it? I had a hearing test which showed minimal hearing loss in one ear only--he wanted to do an MRI, which I declined as my insurance wouldn't pay for it & we cannot afford it. He put me on 3 wks. of Prednisone after which time I will return for another hearing test (another $50. copay for the visit & another $25. copay for the hearing test, & I'll prob. have to pay the rest of both hearing tests once the dust settles!) I have read that you too have this lovely disease or syndrome! I see you are way more eduated than I am---I have many questions for you. Would love to talk w/you about it. I live in a small town in NC in the Smokey Mts. We have a nice big hospital here & lots of good doctors. Asheville is just 1/2 hr. away but I do not feel led to go there for more doctors. Should I investigate this further---the possibility of finding a better, more knowledgeable doctor? My symptoms are: #1--a loud roar like a jet engine in my ears & head #2--some hearing loss--a feeling like my ear is plugged--off & on throughout the day #3--a feeling of fullness in my head--like the top of my head is about to blow off #4--a slight feeling of loss of balance--no--I do not have nausea or vomiting or dizziness--thank heavens! What do I do now? Any suggestions? I will read further on your web site about what you have done & are doing. Thanks for listening! God bless you! Sandie

Thank you for sharing your beautiful reading voice and love of literature. I am inspired that Meniere's, although debilitating, has not stopped you from finding and sharing joy. I have had Meniere's for 10 years. I would appreciate connecting with other folks who are going through similar MD experiences. I can relate to Sandie's situation and recall those times when I went from place to place to get a diagnosis. Do you find that the Seasons impact your Meniere's symptoms? Hope to learn more Karen

Hi, Annie! having recently
Hi, Annie! having recently listened to 'P@P' (Librivox), I am currently listening to and very much enjoying (thank you V/m!) ASnne of Green gables. I am an old married Scottish gentleman of 69- ish, and find great comfort from listening to audios. Your voice is clear and quite endearing: thank you: diolch yn fawr (Cynraeg x Welsh): you wouldn't like o hear my Gaelic and I can hardly pronounce a syllable of the 'dead' language I am supposed to be proficient in. I dwell among the heathen/ish English, with my (mixed blood = part Scottish - from a clan of sheep stealers - wife). Which is why my five kids are most eccentrically orientated. My middle daughter is a scientist, when I advised her to read sociology, history, or the 19th cent novels - which I could at least comprehend. But, I ramble! I see you are a keen gardener: I once was, but gardening does not seem to be an English predeliction, so I am constrained to part with my large garden and go dwell in an old folks apartment. So, thanks for all the comfort. If you have recorded other books, I'd appreciate your letting me klnow. Hey! maybe I'm falling in love! I mustr tell my wife when she comes home this evening. Or maybe its me who'se eccentric! Might the aged be eccentric? Oh, well, be blessed by God - He is so amazing. We worship with recently arrived Africans: they are so committed. If only I could c omprehend them whjen they preach - especially Nigerians (Ghana produces clear orators). And they want all my monies! Which I do not possess. Some strange 'tithing' doctrine they borrowed from you folks across the pond. Say nothing about thew 'free' offer of the Gospel! I think we ought rather assist the suffering saints who dwell amongst the heathen - including the English! I'd better close, now. Every blessing Archie Brown

Hi - We've been listening to
Hi - We've been listening to Anne of Green Gables. It was great! We've new baby and we're trying not to watch tv - so the books on tape are great. We liked Anne of Green Gables so much we moved to the next, but half way through the narrator changes...why is that? I have grown so used to your voice - that I really missed it when it was replaced by another. I thought I should write and tell you how I had grown so much to appreciate your voice without even knowing until it was gone. Thank you for your work.
